Common questions
Is the narrator real?
Real performers, real direction, real bed mix on every authored scene. The voice that responds when you speak is synthesised live — same voice profile, lower latency, recognisably the same character. We are upfront about which is which.
What happens to my voice when I speak?
Your speech is sent to a speech-recognition service to be transcribed into text. The audio is transient — not retained on our servers, not used to train any model, not linked to your identity. The text alone shapes what the story does next, and even that is constrained by the chapter's authored structure. If you deny microphone permission, the story flows on a default path; you can still listen.
Do I need headphones?
Strongly recommended. The bed mix is composed for stereo intimacy; on phone speakers you'll get the words but miss the room. Wired or wireless — Echo doesn't care.
Can I read the story instead?
Not at v1. The product is audio-first by design — the prose, the silences, the breaths are part of how it lands. A transcript view is on the roadmap for accessibility.
What's the difference between Wander and Drift?
Wander is plot-driven — stakes, chemistry, choices that matter. Drift is sensory — slow walks through soft places, where falling asleep is the success state. Same engine, different rules. Wander ships first; Drift arrives later this year.
Will more seasons follow Court of Embers?
Yes. The roadmap is romantasy first, then mystery, then sci-fi/cyberpunk, then cozy. We'd rather one good season every two months than four mediocre ones a month.
Is there an Android version?
Not at v1. iPhone-only at launch. Android follows once iOS is stable and earning.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — through your Apple subscription settings. We don't keep your money if you stop listening.
